# Option A Concept Board — Warm Linen Ledger

## Direction summary
Option A is the **closer-to-current** track, but rebuilt to feel warmer, softer, and more premium. It keeps the binder’s simple structure and calm whitespace, then replaces the cool/clinical fill treatment with a **warm ivory + sage + clay stationery system**.

## Visual thesis
- Feels like a calm, trusted paper binder
- Minimal and adult, not decorative-cute
- More comfort through tone and rhythm, not through extra ornament
- Best fit if the goal is to preserve maximum familiarity while improving Etsy appeal

## What changed from the current style
- Replaced cool lavender entry fills with warmer neutral and mist-sage surfaces
- Added serif-led warmth on cover/divider pages while keeping interior operational text highly readable
- Softened page shells and helper chips so the binder feels less clinical
- Kept tracker and form structures straightforward for caregiver stress-state usability

## Palette
- Paper: `#FBF7F0`
- Soft sage: `#DDE6DC`
- Mist green: `#EEF3EC`
- Warm clay: `#CDA88B`
- Stone line: `#D7CEC2`
- Ink: `#2F3933`

## Type feel
- Display warmth: classic serif
- Functional clarity: strong humanist sans
- Result: a calmer first impression without sacrificing speed of use

## Decorative logic
- Rounded shells
- Thin rules and small clay chips
- Very restrained ornament only around titles and support areas
- No florals, no scripts, no scrapbook behavior

## Design-system read
### Strongest use cases
- Best for buyers who want supportive polish without a big style leap
- Safest rollout for the full 24-page binder
- Most naturally grayscale-friendly of the two directions

### Risks to manage if selected
- Could become too plain if later rollout removes the serif warmth and clay accents
- Needs disciplined typography and spacing to avoid slipping back toward “generic hospital worksheet”

## Verdict
Option A is the **calmest and most conservative upgrade**: warmer, prettier, and more reassuring than the current binder while keeping the structure almost instantly familiar.
